Durham Rescue Mission’s Annual Christmas Dinner Wrap-up

The Durham Rescue Mission hosted its 39th annual Christmas Dinner and Toy give away on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2014. Volunteers started cooking 214 turkeys at 7PM Monday night, before the event, to help feed the thousands that attended.

We would like to thank the 445 volunteers that helped make this possible.  It is wonderful to see needy children in the community walk away smiling with toys they may not have been able to receive.  This was made possible by the tremendous generosity of companies and individuals in the community.

1,450 bags of groceries given to needy families

12,050 articles of warm winter clothing were provided to those in need
