24 men received certificates of completion from the Durham Rescue Mission’s one-year Victory program on May 19. This milestone is the result of the hard work and dedication of each and every graduate.
These men have courageously fought against addictions, homelessness, and other bad choices in their past. They have hope for a bright future. We want the community to share with these men their time in the limelight as with families, friends, and our supportive community come together to encourage them to continue on this new pathway.
Our guest speaker was Rev. Charles Churchill, retired pastor of Five Forks Baptist Church. In addition, Graduates Iain Woodward and Leonard Sutherland shared their testimonies during this special event.
Durham Rescue Mission encourages the graduates to continue on their journey of self-sufficiency and sobriety, and request the media to share these hard-earned miraculous accomplishments with the community.
