The Triangle area is blessed with many fine medical facilities, including Duke Hospital, UNC Hospital, Wake Med, and VA Hospital.
While veterans have access to the VA to meet their healthcare needs, other homeless men, women, and children, without health insurance, do not have access to quality healthcare, including dental and vision.
Out of this urgent need, The Samaritan Health Center was born. The Durham Rescue Mission is thankful for the physicians, dentists, nurses, and others who have volunteered to provide our residents quality healthcare with a heart for the homeless and working poor.
